As General Manager of Worldwide Software Asset Management (SAM) & Compliance, Patama is responsible for the strategy and field execution of all software license compliance activities (Software Asset Management, Intellectual Property Protection, Audit) for Microsoft business customers and partners. Her focus in a mobile-first, cloud-first world is on driving value to the customer in every SAM engagement. Integrating with all customer segments (Enterprise to Small and Medium Business) and the complete portfolio of products, across mature and emerging markets. Leading creation of a partner channel competence and incentive program around SAM to drive consistent execution globally. Growing the business consistently while increasing annuity and cloud revenue. Direct engagement with customers, partners, government officials, press and other industry influencers in the space.
For the last four years as General Manager of Worldwide Corporate Accounts and Partner Sales, Patama led execution and strategic corporate efforts triggering the primary accountabilities for developing growth strategies and driving a $13B multi-faceted division in one of the fastest growing segments in Microsoft. Patama and her team were responsible for ensuring that Microsoft and its ecosystem of 2,500 managed partners delivered technology-based solutions to meet the unique needs of our 85,000 enterprise customers across the world. She was recognized for the highest company award and honored as a Circle of Excellence Platinum Club winner for her leadership and contribution toward Microsoft’s success. As a dynamic and motivational leader, Patama has experience in managing at the global, regional and country levels, which included overseeing Microsoft’s overall business operations and company strategy as a Country GM. She has succeeded in managing a broad range of responsibilities in both start-up and turnaround businesses, including new market creation. Throughout her career, Patama has promoted and mentored female leaders inside and outside of Microsoft. In 2008, Patama was recognized as one of the top Asia female leaders in I.T. by CIO Business Technology Leadership magazine. Through a national poll, she was also voted as one of the Top 5 Businessmen of the Year and elected to the “Top 50 Most Influential and Successful Female Executives in Thailand."
Patama’s professional career spans more than 25 years of diverse experience in the technology and telecommunication industries, sales and marketing, channel and product management, business development, and system engineering within Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft in 1995, Patama worked for Seagate Technology Ltd and for a Telecommunication Company launching the first B2B application for the Stock Exchange of Thailand and its listed companies. Patama holds her Masters Degree in Business Administration (Finance) and a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering from the U.S. She is recently just graduated from a one-year Women's Senior Leadership Program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, IL.
